The insured with the National Institute of Public Health

The Military Medical Academy treats various categories of the military insured patients such as:

  • Active-duty service members and their family members
  • Military retirees and their family members
  • Contract soldiers
  • Conscripts
  • Military Academy cadets, and
  • Persons eligible for treatment in military healthcare facilities.

Prior to the visit to the Military Medical Academy for an examination or treatment, a patient is required to obtain from his/her treating physician in a garrison infirmary or a military medical cente a refferal for a specific specialist's examination, diagnostic or labaratory testing.

Upon obtaining a doctor’s referral and before seeing a requested specialist in the Diagnostic Outpatient Clinic, a patient should timely make his/her appointment by dialing directly to the Clinic’s Appointment Office at 381 11 2662717, 3609398, 3609399 and 3608498 within its working hours (from 07:30 a.m. to 04:30 p.m., Monday through Friday).

Emergencies are directly referred to the Emergency Center operating round the clock. Such cases do not require a referral of a treating doctor.
