Medical Material Department
Department of medical disposable material is divided in three main organizational units.
Polyclinic pharmaceutical outlet is charged with responsibility for dispensing medications and other medical disposable material to military patient population based on physicians’ prescriptions. It is staffed with pharmacists and experts in pharmacological information technology who, apart from performing their main mission, are responsible for providing all necessary information on medications, proper dosage, way of application and side effects to the patients in direct contacts. Evidence of the turnover of medical disposable material, their expire dates and stocks is kept through the Hospital Information System.
Section of the finished pharmaceutical products (hospital pharmacy) supplies clinics and institutes of the Military with medications and infusion solutions. Staff members of this unit are also pharmacists and experts in pharmacological information technology who provide necessary information on medications, proper dosage, way of application and side effects to both doctors and patients. Keeping evidence on their consumption is an important factor for their saving. The Hospital Information System which ensures keeping of the evidence of turnover of medical disposable material, their expire dates and stocks acts within the framework of this part of Institute.
Section of Medical Material plans annual needs of medical disposable material and equipment, stocks them by their use and expire dates and dispense them to the clinics and institutes.
