Apart from activities relating to the work of its organizational units (Medical Research Institute, Scientific Information Institute and Center for Organization and Tactics of the Medical Services ), the Management of the Sector for Education and Scientific-Research Work deals with medical education, advanced medical training and scientific-research work carried out at all clinics and institutes of the Military Medical Academy:

• Specialization in the field of healthcare; 
• Subspecialization  in the field of healthcare; 
• PhD programs;
• Advanced training run at the Military Medical Academy and advanced training of MMA staff members in the country and abroad;  
• Work of the Teaching-Scientific Council Secretariat;
• Publication of the "Military Medical Review" magazine;
• Participation in medical and scientific meetings at both national and international level;
• International military cooperation in the field of education and scientific-research work; 
• Cooperation with national and international educational institutions;
• Internship for health workers and fellows; 
• Student practical work.

Organization of those activities and their accommodation with legal acts, administration and archive work along with the continuous conduct of high quality and quantitative analyses constitute the base for giving proposals aimed at improving quality of work and services provided in those areas.
