Col. Prof. Nikola Filipović, M.D., PhD
He has been acting as a deputy head of the Military Medical Academy since 2007. He graduated from the School of Medicine in Belgrade and specialized in anesthesiology at MMA where he earned his Master’s and PhD degree. He completed medical training program in the Clinical Center in Ljubljana.
Results of his doctoral dissertation are seen in successful application of a pressure controlled ventilation (PCV) in patients with lung function disorder indicated for laparascopic surgical procedures. From 1998 to 2005, he served the position of the head of Anesthesiology Department and, from 2005-2007, the position of the head of the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. He published several dozens of papers in domestic and international medical journals and published his papers in the form of oral and poster presentations at international congresses and anesthesiology meetings. He is a member of Anesthesiology Section of the Serbian Medical Society, European and World Anesthesiology Association, Association of Anesthesiologists, reanimatologists i transfusiologists of Serbia. He is also a member of the Examination Commission of Nis Medical School and, within the framework of education and training program in the Belgrade Medical School, he teaches anesthesiology.
