About Department

Operations and Training Department is an organizational unit of the Military Medical Academy with 61 employees out of whom 11 are active-duty service members and 50 civilians. It is responsible for matters in the field of building, strengthening and improvement of combat readiness of the Military Medical Academy; operational work ( planning, controls, analyses, reports); measures for standing and higher combat readiness, combat training, IT support, communications system, general and clerical work; utilization of the MMA building, inner services and, security of the building, material resources and personnel. The Department has three units: General Operations and Training Section, Center for Hospital-Information System and Communications Center.

Department Head- Colonel Svetislav Mihajlov

Colonel Svetislav Mihajlov was born in Sečanj, in 1956. He completed his elementary and secondary education in Jaša Tomić and Zrenjanin. He graduated from the Army Military Academy in Belgrade and Banja Luka. During his military career, he served all the positions from a platoon to brigade commander in 8 garrisons. He was also assigned with operational duties in Belgrade Corps and Operational Forces HQ. Since 2005, he has been acting as the head of MMA Operations and Training Department.
