About Department
Morale and PR Department is MMA professional body responsible for continuous and planned dissemination of various information to the public through print and electronic media about the latest achievements in the field of medical practice and science achieved at the Military Medical Academy. It is also assigned with the task of analyzing the MMA image in the public domain, creating and defining elements of corporate identity of the Military Medical Academy. Continuous internal informing of MMA staff members with the aim of enhancing the morale, better understanding of the place and role of both MMA and Armed Forces in the community and executing dedicated tasks is another very important area this Department covers. It is also involved in protocol activities and MMA international cooperation as well.
Department Head: Research fellow Elizabeta Ristanovic, MD, PhD
Research fellow Elizabeta Ristanovic, MD, PhD, was born in 1975. She completed Molecular Biology and Physiology studies. She received the Belgrade University award 'Student of the Generation'. She earned the MS’s degree in 1999 and, defended the doctoral thesis in June 2002 in the Belgrade School of Medicine. In April 2004, she was appointed as a research fellow. Since May 1998, she has been a MMA Immunology Department of Microbiology Institute full-time staff member dealing with microbiological diagnosis of bacterial zoonoses and potential biological agents.
She is involved in research work and teaches postgraduates. She is the author of several scientific and medical papers published in domestic and international journals. Her book, monography 'Tularemia –soldier's disease' was published in December 2002. She also wrote the chapter of the book ‘Biological weapons’ published in 2003.
She has attended numerous national and international medical meetings in the capacity of a very successful representative of the Military Medical Academy.
On December 21, 2007 she assumed the position of the head of the MMA Morale and PR Department. She speaks English and Macedonian.
