About Treatment Sector
Treatment Sector is the largest administrative and control body of the MMA Management and responsible for all treatment related issues. It is managed by its head who is also a MMA deputy head for treatment. The main activity of this Sector is to organize treatment and provide for the best possible collaboration among all the structures involved in the treatment process. The Sector is responsible for creating conditions required for successful functioning of the Treatment Service which operates through Groups of Clinics and Institutes, Emergency Center and Outpatient Diagnostic Clinic of Military Medical Academy.
Main tasks:
- Provision of outpatient, inpatient and dental care for active-duty service members and their family members, soldiers, contract soldiers, Military Academy cadets and military retirees and their family members;
- Provision of outpatient, inpatient and dental care for civilians who seek services with this Sector either on the referral or self-pay basis;
- Provision of healthcare for Diplomatic Corps representatives and their family members;
- Healthcare support to medical events, official state visits and, sports events of a larger scale;
- Control and organization of the Outpatient Diagnostic Clinic work;
- Medical support to military hospitals, military medical centers and other military healthcare facilities;
- Organization and control of medical meetings,
- Regular check-ups of senior staff and other personnel when ordered;
- Expertise of all severely ill and wounded patients and inexplicit cases referred by the General Military Medical Board for the purpose of assessing their potential ability for military service;
- Assessment of military service ability of soldiers, recruits and conscripts undergoing inpatient examination and treatment through the Military Draft Board and,
- Participation in organizing medical and scientific meetings.
