The MMA’s Psychiatric Clinic is one of the leading psychiatric clinics in the region. It deals with prevention, diagnosis and the treatment of all forms of psychiatric disorders and diseases ranging from neurotic disorders and dependence diseases to the most severe mental diseases
The Clinic admits about 1000 inpatients each year.
The most important services:
1. Clinic’s departments (hospital treatment)
• Acute psychiatric disorders (acute psychotic conditions, apstinential syndrome, suicidal behaviour, dissocial disorders, acute stress reactions, neuroleptic malignant syndrome);
• Subacute and chronic psychiatric disorders (severe depressive conditions, relapse chronic psychotic disorders, syndrome of alcohol addiction, neurotic decompensation, anxious and panic conditions, phobia, psychosomatic disorders, psycho-organic disorders, eating and sleep disorders , sexual dysfunction and psychological disorders associated with sexual orientation and identity, personality disorders, behavioral disorders;
• Occupational performance testing (active-duty service members, soldiers, recruits and the civilian insured populations, AND
• Judicial-psychiatric expertise (on call/request of the military or civil court).
2. Day Hospital (semi hospital treatment);
• Prolonged treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation of patients requiring psychiatric emergency intervention, i.e. psychiatric hospital care.
3. Department of Mental Health and Military Psychology
• Psychiatric examinations;
• Psychodiagnostic evaluation of personality;
• Psychological Consultation and therapy services (psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, transactional analysis, radix therapy, family psychotherapy) ;
• Psychological selection of patients;
• Systematic check-ups, and
• Education in the field of mental hygiene and psychology.
The history of the MMA’s Psychiatric Clinic goes back to the year of 1924, and it has adopted its current organizational structure in 1984.

3. Day Hospital working at the capacity of 30 patients, and
