Belgrade, August 6 - In the late July and early August of 2008, a team of experts from the Military Medical Academy led by MMA head Major-General Prof. Miodrag Jevtić, MD, PhD continued with successful performance of the endovascular reconstruction of varicose veins. Five new interventions were done, thus making a series of 12 performed procedures. Even though this Program represents the most sophisticated approach to the treatment of severe diseases of blood vessels, this method has already become a routine surgical procedure within the clinical practice at the Military Medical Academy.

This method involved the experts from the Clinic for Vascular Surgery, anesthesiologists and physicians from the Institute of Radiology of the Military Medical Academy. Since our experts have mastered this methodology, a team of competent European experts headed by Izabela Gaevskaya rewarded MMA a certificate to verify its capability of applying this surgical method
