Belgrade, May 23 - Even though the Military Medical Academy’s doors
have been open to all those requiring its medical assistance, signing
of the Agreement with the Republic Institute of Public Health (NIPH) in
December, 2007, created conditions for rendering MMA services to all
the citizens of the Republic of Serbia without any administrative
barriers and under the same treatment conditions as to the military
patients – the head of the Military Medical Academy Maj.Gen. Prof.
Miodrag Jevtic, MD, PhD pointed out in his interview given to the
journalist of the ‘Alo’ daily newspaper. The Agreement with the
Republic Institute of Public Health is fully in place – added General
Jevtic stressing that more than 98% of the MMA bad capacity is
currently filled and over 5000 NIPH’s referrals have been admitted to
MMA so far. At the same time, MMA Diagnostic Outpatient Center has
examined more than 19000 patients.
The Military Medical Academy provides all the patients, regardless of their country of origin or kind of insurance, with the possibility of using its diagnostic, medical or consultative services without their prior scheduling or waiting and under the same commercial conditions and at the MMA customary prices as well. Those services are provided within MMA weekday afternoon hours of operation (between 03.30 p.m. and 07.30 p.m., from Monday to Friday).
