Belgrade, May 22 - According to the MMA annual action plan, the staff members of the Preventive Medicine Sector conducted demonstration exercise, the objective of which was to test and assess the readiness of preventive medical and radiological teams in cases of radiological accidents with the focus on decontamination measures and actions taken during admission of contaminated injured and sick people to the  Military Medical Academy, their transport to the place of decontamination as well as medical procedures performed in the Decontamination Department. As assessed by the present MMA and MoD’s representatives, the medical staff demonstrated that they are fully ready and capable of managing such operations in all their phases and well coordinated in applying decontamination procedures in such cases.
