Free of charge systemic examinations for military pensioners

03. 08. 2018

On the occasion of the Medical Service Day - July 30, the Military Healthcare Department has organized this week's campaign of free of charge systemic examinations for military pensioners in the Military Hospital Nis, the Military Hospital Novi Sad and the Military Medical Center Karaburma. During the five-day campaign, more than 250 pensioners have been examined.
According to the Head of the Military Healthcare Department, Colonel Dr. Ugljesa Jovicic, specialist systemic examinations are organized to remind a large number of retired military personnel on regular health control.
- With a campaign organized through associations and branches of military pensioners in Nis, Novi Sad and Belgrade, we want to reassure retired military people that they are as important to us as active professional military personnel who are required to perform these types of examinations, said Colonel Jovicic.
Lieutenant-Colonel ret. Milasin Mladenic has come for the medical examination at the MMC Karaburma through the Association of Military Pensioners of Serbia, and is very pleased with the organization, starting from the laboratory and specialist cabinets.
- Although I regularly go for medical checkups, this is an excellent way to check the state of health. It is good that today's examinations also include specialist doctors, because you will not go for a checkup if you do not have such kind of problems, Mladenic said.
Free of charge systemic specialist examinations adapted to the target group, apart from laboratory analyzes, included examinations of general practitioners, internists, cardiologists, urologists, neurologists, ophthalmologists, ENTs, physiatrists and dermatologists, and urological examinations were organized in accordance with the reported patient groups.
