Belgrade, April 7 - Immediately upon the chemical accident in the factory storehouse of the Galenika – Phytopharmacy a.d., 29 individuals were admitted to the Military Medical Academy all of whom were engaged in extinguishing a fire. Among those injured, there were 20   members of the Belgrade Fire Brigade, 7 Galenika employees and two members of the Ministry of Interior.

All the admitted patients were acutely exposed to gases produced by combustion of stored chemicals caught by fire. Two of them had hand burns of the first and second degree. After receiving adequate medical aid, all the patients were discharged from the hospital.
