MMA surgeons at the International Congress of Minimally Invasive Surgery

Surgeons of the Military Medical Academy participated in the second International Congress of Minimally Invasive Abdominal Surgery - NAISA, held from April 17 to 19, 2024 in Nis.
Among our surgeons, who also gave notable lectures, the Head of the Second Department of the Clinic for General Surgery, MMA, Prof. Dr. Boško Milev, Dr. Saša Dragović, and Assoc. Dr. Mihailo Bezmarević. The lectures were in the field of colorectal surgery, related to experience and attitudes towards the treatment of patients with rectal cancer, laparoscopic surgery of the pancreas, as well as the spleen. The exchange of experience and new knowledge in the field of laparoscopic surgery will certainly contribute to more modern care and treatment of patients at the MMA.
The conference, which was attended by about 500 participants, was organized under the auspices and organization of the Association of Endoscopic Surgeons of Serbia and the Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery of the University Clinical Center of Niš. It brought together experts, surgeons, and the medical industry with the goal of better access to the treatment of patients undergoing minimally invasive surgery. The scientific program included lectures divided into "Hernia Masterclass", laparoscopy of the esophagus and stomach, bariatric surgery, emergency laparoscopic surgery, and colorectal and hepato-pancreatic-biliary surgery.
