Signed 18 Donor Cards at Peacekeeping Operations Center

In the framework of the SAF Centre for Peacekeeping Operations Course, the Military Medical Academy presented organ pledge program.
During the lecture delivered by Head of Internal Medicine Clinics Group MMA and coordinator of the transplant team of MMA Colonel Prof. Dr Djoko Maksic the attendees had the opportunity to learn about the most important data on transplant treatment and the importance of organ pledge program.
On this occasion, 18 participants of the course "Protection of civilians and gender in peacekeeping operations" and members of the Peacekeeping Operations Center signed donor cards and joined the human campaign in this way.
The process of signing donor cards was initiated at the Military Medical Academy in 2002 and now it is in the framework of the republican campaign "Prolong the Life", which is run by the Department of Biomedicine of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia. Serbia has so far about 120,000 donor cards signed.
Donor card forms can be completed in person at the Military Medical Academy, or ordered by phone to be delivered to addressee. Donor card form can be ordered every work day from 12.00 to 15.00 h on telephone 011 / 3608-466. The completed form should be then returned to the Department of Public Relations MMA, and a donor card will send back to the sender address.
Interested citizens may come to the Department of Public Relations MMA (5th floor) every work day from 12.00 to 15.00 h for consultations on the organ pledge program, as well as to complete a donor card form.
