New Academic Year at the MMA Medical Faculty

Solemn occasion of new academic year, starting at the MMA Medical Faculty of the Defence University in Belgrade was marked today at the Military Medical Academy. The event was attended by the Rector of Belgrade Defence University Lt. Col. Gen. Prof. Dr. Miodrag Jevtić, the MMA Head Brig. Gen. Prof. Dr. Marijan Novaković, the Dean of the MMA Medical Faculty of the Belgrade Defence University Brig. Gen. Academician Prof. Dr. Miodrag Čolić accompanied by chair chiefs and mentors.
At the event opening, Dean of the MMA Medical Faculty of the Belgrade Defence University Brig. Gen. Academician Prof. Dr. Miodrag Čolić stressed out that with this sixth class of cadets has been marked the number of all enrollments thus in the next September it will be promoted the first generation of graduated medical doctors. He also wished all cadets who are currently 159 to continue being devoted to this noble profession and extended a warm welcome at the Academy to all freshmen.
Rector of the Belgrade Defence University Lt. Col. Gen. Prof. Dr. Miodrag Jevtić pointed out the fact that it was always a privilege to see such a number of University members, with the special emphasis on foreign students who decided to carry out their education no other place than here. Along with the successful beginning, and difficult selection process at the admission test they needed to complete, he expressed his expectations for them to put the energy in further development and education while the MMA and Defence University will give their best to provide the best conditions for prosperous academic work.
Addressing the cadets the MMA Head Brig. Gen. Prof. Dr. Marijan Novaković congratulated on new academic year adding he honestly believed that expected good results of all generations would not be omitted and that entire Military Medical Academy is on their disposal to achieve the highest education results. He reminded all that in this year MMA celebrates its 170th anniversary, as the tradition to continue with the qualitative base retained by the other forerunners.
At the ceremony ending, 26 cadets of sixth class of the MMA Medical Faculty of the Defence University were introduced with their teaching staff who will mentor their work throughout the whole education process.
