16.05.2012 | VATS Timectomy Performed at MMA
For the first time doctors of Military Medical Academy performed VATS timectomy procedure on the patient with a diagnosis of generalized myasthenia gravis. Medical team included: Major Dr. Nebojša Marić (surgeon), Dr. Nataša Vešović (assistant), Dr. Snežana Kovačević (anesthesiologist) and Jasna Lukić as operating-room nurse.

Representatives of the MMA’s Clinic for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery attended 61. International Congress of Cardiovascular and Endovascular Surgery, organized by European Society for Cardiovascular Surgery. The Congress took place in Dubrovnik, Republic of Croatia from April 26-28, 2012.
14.05.2012 | Celebrated the International Nurses Day
The Military Medical Academy hosted the International Nurses Day in the MMA’s Amphitheater, held each May 12th. The ceremony was attended by Serbian Minister of Defence, Dragan Šutanovac, State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, Dr. Zoran Vesić and the Assistant of the Minister of Health, Dubravka Šaranović.
14.05.2012 | Announcement for Celebrating the International Nurses Day at MMA
The Military Medical Academy will organize today a celebration of International Nurse Day, scheduled to take place in MMA’s Amphitheater, 17, Crnotravska St. with a beginning in 13,00h. On that occasion there will be selected the best medical nurse as well as the best nurses-technicians working in the MMA.

Congress titled “Psychiatry for a changing world” was organized from 18-21 April 2012 in Belgrade. Expert meeting gathered a large number of national and international participants along with lecturers from the Clinic for Psychiatry, Military Medical Academy.

Euromelanoma represents pan European campaign dealing with prevention of the skin cancer and aimed at providing information to all in issues including: prevention, timely diagnostics and treatment of the skin cancer. This campaign was entamed in Belgium in 1999 to expend now in all 29 countries.
