Challenges of Military Healthcare Reform

Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic held a meeting regarding - the reform of the military health service, analyzing the proposal for the military healthcare reform in general, and its components, including the Military Medical Academy. The meeting was attended by State Secretary Nenad Neric, Assistant Minister for Human Resources Milos Jankovic, Head of the Organization Department of the Defence Policy Sector Major General Sladjan Djordjevic, Deputy Head of the Military Healthcare Department Colonel Ugljesa Jovicic and Acting Head of the Military Medical Academy Colonel Prof. Dr. Miroslav Vukosavljevic.
Minister Djordjevic and his associates analyzed the positive aspects of the proposed solutions, as well as guidelines for their improvement, primarily related to the functional integration of the proposed joint services with the aim of better organization of the military healthcare, particularly in the treatment sector.
Further dynamics of work for those engaged in the reform of the military healthcare was agreed in order to prepare as soon as possible the optimal solution in the best interests of all - the military healthcare services’ users and employees of the military medical service.
