Commander of NG Ohio visiting military health services

Head of the Military Health Department, Brigadier General Dr. Radivoje Anđelković and Deputy Head of the MMA brigadier general prof. Dr. Dragan Dinčić met with the commander of the Ohio National Guard, Major General John Harris, at the Military Medical Academy.
The meeting, organized as part of the multi-day visit of the NG Ohio to the Republic of Serbia, was an opportunity to discuss the fruits of the cooperation so far in the field of military medicine, but also to make preliminary plans for the continuation of cooperation that has been lasting since 2015.
On this occasion, General Anđelković thanked for the valuable donation of the United States of America to the temporary Covid hospital in Karaburma and pointed out that the coronavirus pandemic is a joint battle that we are bringing to an end. Cooperation with NG Ohio through various forms of international activities, of which joint medical engagements and other forms of international trainings, where the exchange of experiences in specific circumstances is extremely important for the training of military medics. Also, there was talk about peacekeeping operations and their impact on the mental health of the participants and general resistance of medics to stressful situations, but also about the work of the Military Health Department on new standards of all levels of health care.
With the Head of the Sector for Treatment of the MMA, Miroslav Brocić, PhD, and Vladan Živković, MD, Ph.D., from the Pulmonology Clinic of the MMA, they discussed the improvement of healthcare and clinical practice through the exchange of knowledge from various fields of medicine, and stated that cooperation with NG Ohio is a model of how to easily achieve great results.
