Cooperation with German toxicologists

A two-member delegation of the Medical Service of the Bundeswehr Armed Forces led by Lieutenant Colonel Timo Wille visited the National Poison Control Center (NPCC) of the Military Medical Academy.
The Head of NPCC Prof. Dr. Slavica Vucinic, with her associates Prof. Dr. Vesna Kilibarda and Assistant Professor Dr. Snezana Djordjevic presented the work of the Center, introduced them to the scope of work and types of analyzes in clinical practice, and organized a tour of NPCC organizational units.
The current project of the NPCC and the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Bundeswehr was the reason for the visit. Laboratory equipment for the analysis of results in patients who are poisoned by organophosphorus insecticides and for the monitoring enzymes activity in poisonings of this type was donated to the Military Medical Academy within the project. In addition to discussing the results of the project so far, the reason for the visit was the three-day training of the employees for the work on the instruments, with the aim of continuing the sample collection and further improvement of cooperation.
