Belgrade, August 15 - His Grace Bishop Lavrentije of Šabac presented the icone of the Blessed Lady of Smoleńska to the Military Medical Academy as a gift of the Serbian Orthodox Church for great contributions of our institution to the Serbian church and people.

On that occassion, Bishop of the Diocese of Šabac, presented the Head of the Military Medical Academy Major General Prof. Miodrag Jevtić, MD, PhD, with the Medal of the holySerbianBishop Nikolai, the highest decoration of the Diocese of Šabac awarded for unselfish personal contributions and affection for the people, church and country.

Major General Prof. Miodrag Jevtić, MD, PhD thanked the church dignitaries for successful cooperation with the Military Medical Academy in joint mission to improve physical and spiritual health of our people.

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle hospitalized at the Military Medical Academy for treatment was also present.
