Internal medical nurses – technicians continuing medical education in cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the MMA

07. 02. 2010

The Military Medical Academy hosted the first seminar on intrahospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation organized by the MMA’s Clinic for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. It was attended by 20 MMA’s medical technicians who successfully mastered all scheduled skills. The main goal of the training program was to help raise medical technicians’ awareness of new recommendations for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and train them to recognize the signs and symptoms of in-hospital cardiac arrest, give adequate warning to the resuscitation team and undertake adequate measures.
The intention of the   Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Clinic’s medical team led by Col. Prof. Dr. Predrag Romić for 2009 was to organize more such one day-seminars which would be run by the MMA’s anesthesiologists, teachers and physicians who had already completed European courses in this field and had been awarded the title of instructor/provider.
The seminars   would include introductory lectures and practical training on markers by the use of advanced medical equipment.
