MMA Chief as Honorable Member of National Bioethics Committee

The head of the Military Medical Academy Brigadier General Prof. Dr. Marijan Novakovic has been promoted into the honorable National Bioethics Committee member of the Cooperative Commission with Serbian UNESCO. The event took place within the premises of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU) on December 18, 2013 and was chaired by the Head of the MMA Institute for Medical Research Prof. Dr. Zvonko Magic and Academician Prof. Dr. Vladisav Stefanovic from the Medical School, University in Nis. The named promotion was delivered on the occasion of National Bioethics Committee 10th anniversary.
Among the newly promoted honorable members were also the SANU President Academician Prof. Dr. Nikola Hajdin, SANU Vice President Prof. Dr. Ljubisa Rakic and Dean of the Faculty of Biology, University in Belgrade Prof. Dr. Jelena Knezevic Vukcevic.
National Bioethics Committee of the Cooperative Commission with Serbian UNESCO, localized in SANU has been founded October 31, 2003. Its assignment is the promotion of ethical and legal contents resulted from the scientific life research giving at the same time the stimulus to idea and information share, realized primary through the natural sciences education, especially genetics and biomedicine.
