Meeting of BMMC delegates in MMA

The 42nd pre-congressional meeting of the Balkan Military Medical Committee (BMMC) was held from 7 to 9 March 2018 at the Military Medical Academy.
The meeting, attended by delegations of permanent members of the Committee (Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey) was held to discuss the organizational plan for the upcoming 23rd Congress of the BMMC.
As announced, the main topics of the Congress should include medical support for the first combat line, medical support in mass casualties, aviation medicine and other, and in the scientific program, two roundtables are planned regarding the treatment of multiple traumatic injuries and modern approach to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats. Part of the upcoming congress will traditionally be dedicated to the participation of cadets, specialists and junior specialists as well as awards for the best presentation - a poster based on criteria such as relevance, applicability, originality and quality of scientific work presentation.
The military medical cooperation of the Balkan countries within the BMMC has been in place since 1995, the congress is held annually in one of the member states, and the forthcoming 23rd Congress of the BMMC will be held from 11 to 14 May 2018 in Antalya, Republic of Turkey.
