The Military Medical Academy was visited today by High Delegation of the Ministry of Defence of Kuwait. It was the second visit of the representatives of the Ministry of Defence of this country to our institution, with the goal to consider and define the fields of common interest in which military health services of the two countries could cooperate and develop partnerships, within the framework of the recently reached agreement on military and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Kuwait Delegation included Brigade Generals Abdulrahman Al-Hadhud and Abdul Razak Mohamed Al-Avadi, accompanied by their military representatives in the NATO.
After a short presentation on the organisational structure, main activities of MMA, its educational and scientific research potentials and capacities, the guests were offered an opportunity to visit some of the key organisational unites in the health domain.
Impressed by what they saw, the guests said they would like both sides to consider the option of establishing this cooperation by exchanging experts, who would exchange their professional knowledge and experience while working at their and our military health institutions. They were also interested in sending their patients, mainly severe cases, to MMA for further treatment and palliative care.
The visit ended with a cordial invitation for our management to visit their country and the Military Hospital.
