The Award of the Serbian Rheumatology Association

 Belgrade, September 29 – Doctor Gorica Ristić from the MMA’s Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology Clinic was awarded by the Serbian Rheumatology Association, and her paper titled ‘’Concentration of Pro and Anti-inflammatory Cytokines in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis’’ was chosen as the best paper at the recently held Annual Congress of the Serbian Rheumatology Association. 

The main Congress topics dealt with systemic diseases of the connective tissue and osteoporosis with a special focus on the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis with biological drugs. There were also 12 international lecturers participating in the Congress. Experts from the MMA’s Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology Clinic presented several papers in the form of oral and poster presentations.

During the Congress, forums dealing with various issues in Rheumatology were also organized and actively attended by the Congress attendees.
Moderator of the forum on the topic titled ‘’Controversies in ’’Sjögren’s Syndrome was the Head of MMA’s Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology Clinic, Col. Prof. Dr. Dušan Stefanović, while the introductory lectures were delivered by the Clinic’s experts Assist. Prof. Dr. Branislava Glišić and Assist. Dr. Gorica Ristić.
