Us-Serbia military medical cooperation

Delegation of the Military Health Care of the Ministry of Defence of Serbia is paying an official visit to the State of Ohio in the United States. The delegation, led by the head of the health care Colonel prof. Zoran Popovic, head of the Military Medical Academy, Brigadier General prof. Dr. Marijan Novakovic and the Chancellor of the Military School of Medicine, Academic Professor Brigadier General. Dr. Miodrag Colic.


The aim of the visit is to establish a military medical cooperation between the two countries through as the MoD delegation will be presented the facilities, organization, methods and routines of military and civil-military medical facilities in Ohio.

During the visit the MoD delegation will inform the hosts with potentials of the military health care in Serbia. The host of the visit is the Chairperson of the Riverside Methodist Hospital (Riverside Methodist Hospital) Brigadier General Dr. Steven Markovic, who is also the Chief of the Air National Guard of Ohio.

Besides paying a visit to the Riverside Methodist Hospital, the MoD delegation will visit Cincinnati University Hospital, (Pattersen Wright Air Force Base Hospital), and the Cleveland Clinic.

The Serbian delegation also met with the commander of the Ohio National Guard, Major General Deborah Ashenhurst.
