Neurosurgical Clinic
The Clinic’s main assignment is the treatment of all neurosurgical diseases and injuries of intracranial space, spinal cord and peripheral nerves.
Each year, it performs around 600 operations. The most common include surgeries of loin and neck discus hernia, all kinds of intracranial and spinal tumors, all kinds of instrumental stabilization of the vertebral column, endovascular surgeries of vascular brain and spinal malformations as well as surgeries of various spontaneous and traumatic intracranial hemorrhages.
 
History
The Neurosurgery Department of the MMA's Surgical Clinic was established in 1956 by Colonel Prof. Dr. Bogosav Dragojević. Pioneers of the military neurosurgery were professors Steinfl, Ercegovac, Roganović and many others whose work was deeply weaved into the roots of the Clinic. 
                  
The military insured patients and civilian referrals can seek services with Neurosurgical Ward within its hours of operation (from 07.30 a.m. to 03.00 p.m.), Monday through Friday. Self-pay patients can visit this Ward during its afternoon working hours between 03.30 p.m. and 07.30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
