Emergency Department
The MMA’s Emergency Department deals with the examination, diagnosis and management of all emergencies. The Center is open round the clock throughout a year, and is available to all those requiring emergency medical assistance regardless of their status – whether they have civilian or military health insurance coverage, or whether they are national or foreign citizens.
Upon registration at the triage desk, a patient can be referred to one of the following ER units:

Surgical ward

Internal ward

Neuropsychiatric ward

Toxicological ward

Two operating rooms

Emergency diagnostic unit

Observation room with 11 beds
The Emergency Center is operated by a team of duty physicians in all the specialties and its own permanent staff including medical technicians, paramedics and administration officers. The Center provides every patient with the possibility of having all the laboratory testing, diagnostic examinations done by a specialists in a short period of time.
